Sample Anchor Dates in Bible Chronology
The following sample dates give an overview of some of the many dates that function like markers on the ruler of time in Bible chronology history going from the events of Creation Week until the end of the Old Testament. Some of the many dates connecting to events of the New Testament are also explained using a 364-Day calendar.
Anchor Event #1: Genesis 1:1-5
Creation Day 1
This is Day One of Creation Week and it is a Monday. It is important to note that this day on the 364-Day calendar (BR) appears to start fourteen years and eight days before this same day on the Gregorian calendar (GH). At this point in history, the 364-Day calendar date is only eight days different than the Gregorian solar calendar date.

Anchor Event #2: Genesis 1:14-19
Creation Day 4
This is Day Four of Creation Week and it is a Thursday. This day is CD#1 of 364 Days on the 364-Day calendar. This is CD#1 because this is the day the sun is created and is therefore the first day that can be put on a digital solar calendar. All Dates from Creation (DFC Dates) are measured in years and days from this date in Scripture.

DFC Date of Methuselah’s Death is Noah’s 600th DFC Year
The DFC date for the death of Methuselah and the 600th year of Noah happens 1,656 years plus 331 days from Day Three of Creation Week in 4115 BC on the 364-Day calendar. This DFC dated event happens forty-seven days before Noah and his family enters the Ark. This DFC date can be used to date the lives of the Patriarchs prior to and after Noah’s Flood. This date can be used with the numbered years in Scripture to calculate DFC dates from Creation Week until the events of Easter Week in 30 AD.

Anchor Event #4: Genesis 7:1-16
Noah and His Family Enter the Ark
This Heshvan 10 date is the first specific date in Biblical history. This is a calculated date since Noah’s family is on the Ark for seven days before it starts to rain when the first specific date is clearly stated. This day is also the first of 382 days that Noah and his family are inside the Ark. This date is 1,657 years plus fourteen days from Day Three of Creation Week in 4115 BC on the 364-Day calendar. This same DFC Heshvan 10 date in 406 BC, 2,052 years later, would mark the end of the Old Testament in the Book of Malachi.

150th Day of Water on the Earth
This is the 150th and last day that the waters of Noah’s Food covered the earth. On this day, the Ark comes to rest “in the seventh month, the seventeenth day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat.” The waters begin to subside until the tops of the mountains are seen about two-and-a-half-months later, “In the tenth month, on the first day of the month.” This Nisan 17 date becomes the most important transition day in Biblical history. On this DFC date in 1445 BC, one thousand and twelve years later, the nation of Israel would gather at Succoth to begin the first day of the Exodus. On this same solar date in 30 AD, on the evening of the Resurrection, the risen Christ would stand before his disciples when Thomas was not present, according to John 20:19-20. See Anchor Event #10.

Noah Removes Covering on the Ark
Noah’s 601st Birthday
This is the first DFC date in Scripture that is also a DIS date and is the primary Anchor date for dating the events of the entire Old and New Testaments using a 364-Day calendar. This specific date marks the 601st DFC birthday of Noah and the day the covering is removed from the Ark. This date is the “first month, the first day of the month”. It is on this date that Noah first noticed that the surface of the ground was dry.

130 Year Old Jacob Meets Pharaoh
This date is a critical calculation to form an accurate Bible chronology. This date marks the arrival of Jacob in Egypt to join Joseph. This date marks the start of the 430 years of the bondage of Israel in Egypt before the Exodus in 1445 BC. From Creation to the birth of Jacob, the dated births of the Patriarchs are given according to the age of their
father at the time of birth. This DFC system of dating seems to stop when the age of Jacob is not given at the birth of any of his sons. The chronological trail seemed to end until the Pharaoh asks Jacob his age when he arrives in Egypt. Jacob responds that he is 130 years old. The age of Joseph can be calculated at this point to be thirty-nine years old. This means that Jacob was ninety-one years old when his son Joseph was born.

The Firstborn Consecrated-Evening Nisan 17
This DFC date of the first day of the Exodus marks the Anchor date for the center of Biblical history, the start date of the Exodus. From this point in Bible chronology, the DFC dates of the Patriarchs, the Kings of Israel, and many of the Old Testament Prophets can be calculated. This event happens 1,012 years from the day the Ark comes to rest on the mountains of Ararat in 2457 BC. See Anchor Event #6. On this same solar date in 30 AD, on the evening of the Resurrection, the risen Christ would stand before his disciples when Thomas was not present, according to John 20:19-20. This New Testament Resurrection event would happen on the solar Nisan 17 date which would be Monday, May 5−Iyar 18 in the same year on the 364-Day calendar. This New Testament event would occur 1,474 years from this Exodus event. This would be an exact year match with the numbers in the Biblical text using 1445 BC as the year of the start of the Exodus.

God Parts the Red Sea at PiHahiroth
This monumental event, of Israel crossing the Red Sea on Monday, April 28 – Iyar 11 in 1445 BC, is an exact Anchor date for the start of Easter Week in 30 AD on the 364-Day calendar. On this same Monday date in 30 AD, on the Gregorian-Hebrew solar calendar, it would be April 1–Nisan 10. On this date the Passover Lamb is chosen to be sacrificed four days later on Friday, April 5–Nisan 14. Jesus enters Jerusalem and is hailed as the Messiah on this same Nisan 10 date in 30 AD, as recorded in Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-10, and Luke 19:28-40. To put this in another way, Jesus enters Jerusalem exactly 1,474 364-Day years after the crossing of the Red Sea at PiHahiroth. This date in history connects the dated 364-Day years in the Old Testament with the 364-Day calendar of the New Testament during the events of Easter Week in 30 AD.

Anchor Event #12: Exodus 16:1
Israel Arrives at Wilderness of Sin
On this same Friday May 2–Iyar 15 date in 30 AD, Jesus would be crucified as the Lamb of God, as recorded in Matthew 27:29-56, Mark 15:22-37, Luke 23:26-46, and John 19:17-30. On this same Friday Passover date in 30 AD, on the 364-Day calendar, it would be April 5–Nisan 14 on the Gregorian-Hebrew solar calendar. Jesus is crucified exactly 1,474 364-Day years after Israel arrives in the Wilderness of Sin, as recorded in Exodus 16:1-3. That Saturday evening, the nation of Israel would begin complaining about the lack of food just four days after crossing the Red Sea. This DIS date clearly connects the New and Old Testament using the exact number of years stated in the Biblical text.

First Day of “Bread From Heaven”
On this Sunday, May 4–Iyar 17 in 1445 BC, God feeds Israel with manna and quail. This “bread which the Lord has given you to eat“ (Genesis 16:15) came on the same day as the Resurrection in 30 AD. On this same date of the Resurrection in 30 AD, on the 364-Day calendar, it would be April 7–Nisan 16 on the Gregorian-Hebrew solar calendar. The number of years stated in Scripture match the years from the Exodus in 1445 BC to the Resurrection of Jesus in 30 AD. Both events happen on Sunday, May 4−Iyar 17.

Anchor Event #14: Joshua 3:2-17
Joshua and Israel Cross the River Jordan
This important event happens forty years after the Institution of Passover in 1445 BC. See Anchor Event #9. This event backed up the Jordon River many miles north of Jericho. The report of this event and God’s protection of the nation of Israel spread great fear among the people of Canaan. Seven days after this event, the first battle for Canaan begins with the seven day attack on the fortress at Jericho. After the destruction of Jericho, Ai, and other cities soon after this event, the fear of the nation of Israel and the God who protected them spread rapidly among the many tribes in the land of Canaan.

Jerusalem Temple Begins to Burn for Four Days
This event begins the seventy “completed” years of the Babylonian Exile (Jeremiah 25:12) until the start of the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Wall. Almost all current Bible chronology erroneously places this event of the burning of Jerusalem as much as sixty years earlier in 586 BC. Seventy years plus 360 days after this event, Nehemiah began rebuilding the Jerusalem Wall that would be completed on the 52nd day on Sunday, September 8–Elul 25 in 455 BC.

Anchor Event #17: Esther 9:17-19
The Feast of Purim Established on 14th & 15th of Adar
This is a very important date and year in Bible chronology. In this year, Artaxerxes begins the first year of his fifty-one year reign in Persia outside the area of Babylon which seemed to be in a power struggle after the mysterious death of Cambyses II in Egypt. After this victory, the Jewish leaders in Israel began to make a push to complete the rebuilding of the Temple. Darius, the son of Ahasuerus and probable brother of Artaxerxes, begins to reign in Babylon about nine months later after removing an imposter posing as Smerdis, the brother of Cambyses II. Seven years later, on Adar 3 in 468 BC, the restored Jerusalem Temple would be completed according to Ezra 6:13-22 and 7:1-10.

Second Temple Dedicated on Third Day of Adar
This event happens in the sixth year of Darius, the son of Ahasuerus, which is also the seventh year of the reign of King Artaxerxes. Modern Bible chronology usually dates this event, of the dedication of the Temple, as happening in the year 515 BC. This erroneous date is partially created with the start of the Babylonian Exile in 586 BC instead of 526 BC. For more information, see notes in Chapter 27 on Haggai 1:12-15 and Ezra 5:1-2. This important Bible chronology clarification can be found on pages 494-495. The dating of this important event in Biblical history resolves many of the confusing conclusions currently found in Bible chronology related to the burning of Jerusalem and the Babylonian Exile.

Ezra and the Other Exiles Leave for Jerusalem
Ezra and many other exiles leave from the river of Ahava on the twelfth day of Nisan. This is a very important date and year in Scripture that connects with many events near the end of the Babylonian Exile. The dating of this event is critical to a correct understanding of Bible chronology. This Bible Timeline research places the previous event (#19) only thirty-nine days before this event. Almost every current Bible chronology dates the previous event (Event #19) of the completion of the Temple in 515 BC. Current Bible chronology places this current Biblical event (#20) in 458 BC which is considered the seventh year of the reign of King Artaxerxes. The completion date of the Temple is found in Ezra 6:15. The arrival of Ezra in Jerusalem in the fifth month (July/Av) of the seventh year of King Artaxerxes is found in Ezra 7:7. This would mean that the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes would occur in 445 BC instead of 455 BC as this research claims. This means that one of the major errors of current Bible chronology places fifty-seven years between events that this research only separates by thirty-nine days and Scripture separates by 16 verses in the text.

The Jerusalem Wall is Completed in 52 Days
The completion of the rebuilding of the Jerusalem Wall marks the true end of the Babylonian Exile. This research calculates that 480 years later, on this same date in 26 AD, marks the date of the baptism of Jesus in the fifteenth year of the Roman Emperor Tiberius. This same date in 26 AD is also forty-two days before the thirtieth birthday of Jesus on October 20. After being baptized, Jesus would go into the wilderness for forty days and forty nights before returning to start his three-and-a-half-years of public ministry. The dating of the completion of the Jerusalem Wall is important in calculating the dates of Daniel’s 70 Weeks prophecy.

Anchor Event #22: Malachi 4:5-6
End of the Old Testament
The estimated DFC date of the end of the Old Testament is exactly 2,052 years after Noah’s family enters the Ark on Wednesday, October 30−Heshvan 10 in 2458 BC. This is an estimated DFC date for the end of events recorded in the Book of Malachi. Malachi tells about a Prophet like Elijah who would announce the Messiah’s arrival. This messenger would be John the Baptist. CD#14 is the DFC and EDFC date for events between 406 BC and 402 BC. Scripture goes silent for 400 years until 6 BC. At this point in the New Testament, Zacharias, the future father of John the Baptist, is told by an Angel that his barren wife Elizabeth will conceive a child. John would be the cousin of Jesus and would be born six months before Jesus. Jesus would clearly be the promised Messiah of the Old Testament.
